General Ledger Accountant – Lisbon

About the role

Airbus Portugal is seeking a motivated General Ledger Accountant to join its Global Business Services (GBS) team in Lisbon. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial closing, payroll accounting, and fixed‑asset management while supporting intercompany reconciliations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries for accruals and reclassifications.
• Perform payroll reconciliation between the general ledger and payroll system, ensuring correct expense and liability recording.
• Manage the full lifecycle of fixed assets – capitalization, transfers, disposals, and monthly depreciation.
• Reconcile intercompany balances and transactions, providing documentation for consolidation.
• Identify and implement process improvements to automate reconciliations, fixed‑asset management, and data accuracy.

Required profile

• Finance or Accounting degree, or proven experience in administrative accounting tasks.
• Junior‑level candidate (recent graduate) or candidate with relevant accounting experience.
• Advanced English proficiency; additional European languages (French, German, Spanish) are a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle high‑volume data entry.
• Professional, service‑oriented attitude with effective communication skills.
