Data Technical Lead

About the role

We are looking for a Data Technical Lead to drive data engineering and AI initiatives on Azure for our clients in Portugal. The role involves designing, building and maintaining data pipelines, machine‑learning models and generative‑AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise Python applications using PySpark and Databricks.
• Design, implement and monitor Azure data pipelines with Azure Data Factory.
• Manage the full lifecycle of regression and classification ML models on Azure.
• Implement data security, permissions and governance policies in Azure.
• Build generative‑AI solutions with OpenAI models, LangChain, LangGraph, RAG and document indexing, using Langfuse for monitoring.
• Create and maintain REST APIs and integrate relational (PostgreSQL/SQL) and vector databases.
• Apply DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, GitHub version control, pytest testing and SonarQube code quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional Python development experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure services, Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Proficiency in building and deploying machine‑learning models and generative‑AI solutions.
• Fluent Portuguese and eligible to work in Portugal.
