About the role

Neotalent is seeking a Data Scientist to join a leading energy company in Portugal. You will work on innovative projects that support the country’s energy transition, applying advanced analytics to drive sustainable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop custom data models and algorithms using machine‑learning tools and statistical techniques.
• Write Python or R code to perform comprehensive data analysis and predictive modeling.
• Identify hidden patterns and actionable insights to support business decisions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and implement ETL workflows from diverse data sources.
• Ensure data integrity and security throughout the data pipeline.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role.
• Proven ability to develop and deploy machine‑learning models in production.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
