Data Scientist II

About the role

Mastercard’s Product Data & Analytics team is looking for a Data Scientist II to help build scalable data solutions that drive business decisions across products, markets, and services. You will work with global and regional teams to turn complex data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain advanced reporting and data visualization capabilities on large data volumes.
• Translate business requirements into clear solution specifications and deliver high‑quality outputs on time.
• Create repeatable processes for ETL, modeling, and reporting.
• Manipulate large‑scale databases, synthesize insights, and present findings via Tableau, PowerBI, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Apply quality control, data validation, and cleansing to new and existing data sources.

Required profile

• Experience in data engineering, data mining, analytics, reporting, data product development, and quantitative analysis.
• Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write optimized queries for large data sets.
• Familiarity with stored procedures, functions, and views.
• Hands‑on experience with Cloudera Hadoop, big‑data technology stacks, SQL Server, Microsoft BI Stack, Snowflake, and cloud environments.
• Exposure to Python, Scala, Hive, Impala, Spark, and data‑pipeline tools.
