Data Scientist – AI & Machine Learning

About the role

Siemens is looking for a motivated Data Scientist to join its Portugal Tech Hub. You will design and deploy data‑driven solutions that tackle complex business challenges across AI, analytics and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement machine‑learning and deep‑learning models for real‑world problems.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering and model evaluation.
• Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Apply software‑engineering best practices to build scalable, production‑ready data‑science solutions.
• Develop and optimise Python‑based data pipelines and analytical tools.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate models into existing systems.
• Work with large, complex datasets using Snowflake for ETL processes.
• Contribute to data‑product development, ensuring data quality, accessibility and governance.
• Participate in agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and communicate results to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar role.
• Strong analytical mindset, continuous‑learning attitude and collaborative spirit.
