Community Lead for Crypto Trading Platform

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Community Lead to own and grow the Kraken Pro community of serious crypto traders. You will be the voice in the trenches, interacting on Discord, Telegram, X, TradingView, Reddit and other channels the moment market events happen.

Key responsibilities

• Participate actively in real‑time chat platforms, posting market‑critical updates before screenshots circulate.
• Build and manage an ambassador and power‑user program with market makers, quant desks and high‑volume traders.
• Run public events such as AMAs, live‑trading sessions, feature launches and competitions, owning the format and execution.
• Close the feedback loop with Product by reporting bugs or flow issues with evidence and communicating resolutions back to the community.
• Create shareable content – micro‑structure threads, feature teardowns, release notes that resonate with sophisticated traders.
• Measure impact through sentiment, share of voice, community‑sourced sign‑ups and retention of high‑value accounts.

Required profile

• Active trader with real positions and a deep understanding of funding rates, maker/taker economics, slippage and latency.
• 3+ years managing community or social channels for a technical, skeptical audience (crypto, fintech, gaming, dev tools).
• Fast, clear writing ability for both short‑form posts and long‑form analysis.
• Thick skin and strong instincts to de‑escalate heated situations without corporate rigidity.
• Proven track record of building a community from scratch, not just maintaining an existing one.
• Comfortable operating without a brief in a fast‑moving, constantly reorganising environment.
