Chef de Partie – Luxury Resort Kitchen

About the role

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Puerto Rico is seeking a motivated Chef de Partie to join its culinary team. You will work in a vibrant, luxury‑focused environment, preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner dishes that meet the brand’s high standards of quality and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to guest orders and recipe cards, ensuring consistent quality and portion control.
• Set up and maintain your station for breakfast, lunch, and dinner service, including complete mise en place.
• Operate, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment such as deep fryers, ovens, steamers, mixers, slicers, and flat‑top grills.
• Date and rotate all food containers, monitor temperatures, and adhere to food safety policies.
• Assist with inventory checks, note shortages, and help control food waste and cost.
• Support, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff, fostering a safe and sanitary work environment.

Required profile

• High school education or equivalent culinary training.
• Experience in a high‑volume, upscale kitchen environment.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong commitment to hygiene, safety, and company standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard kitchen equipment (deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, flat‑top grill).
• Knowledge of food safety, storage, and rotation procedures.
• Basic understanding of food cost control and waste management.
