Backend Engineer

About the role

Devexperts is seeking a Backend Engineer to join the team developing a leading US trading platform used by over 200,000 daily online users. You will own backend services, infrastructure, and data systems while tackling high‑performance, low‑latency challenges in a high‑load financial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services that handle order issuance, validation, routing, execution, option pricing, and reconciliation.
• Ensure the platform processes over 1 million requests per second with fault tolerance and low latency.
• Participate in rigorous code reviews, testing, and continuous performance optimisation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver large technical projects.

Required profile

• 3+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Go or Python.
• Solid understanding of system design principles.
• Experience with Kafka or similar streaming platforms.
• Background in capital markets or trading systems.
• Fluent English (B2+).
