Aeronautical Engineer – Design & Simulation

About the role

We are looking for an Aeronautical Engineer who will work at the intersection of aircraft design and engineering tools. The role involves designing UAV configurations, refining digital simulation tools, and supporting flight testing to validate concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate on conceptual and preliminary design of new UAV configurations, performing sizing and trade‑off studies.
• Develop and tune flight models, contribute to system identification, and ensure digital models match real‑world behavior.
• Run mission analysis, stability calculations and automate performance, flight load, and data‑processing tasks.
• Maintain and improve internal engineering calculation frameworks and tools.
• Translate theoretical designs into physical prototypes using 3D printing or composites and support flight‑test campaigns.

Required profile

• Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–6 years of experience in aircraft design, simulation or performance analysis.
• System‑thinking mindset with a willingness to optimise workflows and work hands‑on with prototypes and data.

Required skills

• Strong fundamentals in Aerodynamics and Flight Dynamics.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Experience with CAD tools, preferably SolidWorks, for rapid prototyping.
