Senior Product Development Engineer – AR3

About the role

Tekever is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer to lead the evolution of the AR3 platform. You will translate customer requirements into feasible engineering solutions and drive continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise the AR3, identifying and implementing product improvements.
• Convert customer needs into technical specifications and ensure feasibility.
• Analyse product requirements, standards and specifications.
• Lead product changes from concept through design, prototyping, testing, validation and production rollout.
• Perform root‑cause analysis on complex issues and define robust solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in Engineering, Design, Manufacturing and Quality.
• Act as a technical reference and mentor for less‑experienced team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Aerospace, Aeronautical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of product development and continuous‑improvement experience, preferably with complex physical products such as UAVs or automotive systems.
• Proven experience delivering products in production, including customisations to meet customer requirements.
• Ability to manage the full development cycle from requirements to production implementation.
• Strong problem‑solving, autonomy and technical decision‑making skills.
• Fluent English; Portuguese is a plus.
• Resilient, proactive, hands‑on attitude and ability to thrive in an innovative environment.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Caldas da Rainha and Leiria.
