Accounting Controller – Financial Consolidation (French/English)

About the role

BNP Paribas Cardif is seeking an Accounting Controller to join its Financial Consolidation team in Porto. You will work in a multicultural environment, supporting the quarterly IFRS closing process for the French reporting perimeter and contributing to the overall quality of the group’s financial data.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in quarterly IFRS closing activities, focusing on the French reporting perimeter.
• Perform second‑level review of financial appendices and analytical review of consolidated packages.
• Review financial assets in line with IFRS 13 Fair Value Measurement.
• Support data‑quality issues on the Shared Reporting Space platform.
• Collaborate with various departments to improve processes during the inter‑closing period.
• Report progress and issues to the Head of Consolidation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, audit or financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS standards, especially those relevant to insurance (IFRS 4, IFRS 17, IAS 39, IFRS 9).
• Experience in the banking or insurance sector is a plus.
• High motivation for automation and efficiency gains.
• Fluency in English and at least intermediate French.
