Procurement Sustainability Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Sustainability Specialist to join Airbus GBS in Coimbra. The role manages end‑to‑end sustainability topics for a specific commodity or supplier portfolio, ensuring compliance with Airbus sustainability criteria.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end sustainability topics for a specific commodity, entity or supplier portfolio with minimal supervision.
• Identify and suggest enhancements to existing Source‑to‑Pay (S2P) sustainability practices and tools.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to drive corrective action plans and ensure adherence to Airbus sustainability criteria.
• Influence internal stakeholders to integrate sustainability requirements into standard procurement processes and supplier selection criteria.
• Provide guidance to junior colleagues on technical tools and established procurement practices.

Required profile

• University degree in Business, Supply Chain, Environmental Science or equivalent.
• Deep understanding of sustainability principles such as carbon footprint, environmental compliance and Scope 3 emissions and their application in corporate procurement.
• Advanced proficiency in procurement systems and ESG criteria.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret complex data and use Google Workspace autonomously.
• Ability to propose and implement process improvements.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently within established practices.
• Strong organizational skills and rigorous approach to managing multiple tasks with high accuracy.
• Proactive learner capable of applying theoretical knowledge to practical assignments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and clear, persuasive communication.
• Fluency in English sufficient for negotiations and team meetings.
