Human Resources Consultant

About the role

Tasklix is looking for a Human Resources Consultant to provide strategic HR guidance to small and medium‑size businesses across Puerto Rico. You will work directly with owners and managers, helping them align talent management with their business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver HR consulting services while ensuring compliance with Puerto Rico labor laws and best practices.
• Develop, review and update employee handbooks, policies and procedures.
• Support recruitment processes in partnership with the recruitment team.
• Conduct employee selection, hiring and onboarding for client organizations.
• Assist with performance evaluations, action plans and talent development programs.
• Manage employee‑relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary actions and terminations.
• Advise managers and business owners on HR decisions that support their strategic goals.
• Facilitate compliance and organizational‑development training sessions.
• Prepare reports, analyses and recommendations while maintaining confidentiality.
• Represent Tasklix in client meetings and collaborate with internal teams to improve service delivery.
• Travel to client sites as required and perform other related duties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Previous HR generalist experience, preferably in small‑ or medium‑sized companies.
• Strong knowledge of Puerto Rico labor legislation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.
• Ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously and handle confidential information.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
