Director of People Experience

About the role

The Director of People Experience will lead a lean, high‑trust people team that supports a fully remote workforce of roughly 320 employees across more than 40 countries. This senior position combines strategic HR leadership with hands‑on operational ownership throughout the employee lifecycle, shaping scalable and efficient people processes in a fast‑moving, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a team of two Senior HR Business Partners and one People Operations Specialist across multiple time zones.
• Define and continuously improve the HRBP operating model, standards and ways of working.
• Coach HRBPs to strengthen business‑partnering capabilities and handle complex employee and leadership situations.
• Serve as senior escalation point for sensitive, high‑risk employee‑relations matters and act as backup HRBP when needed.
• Own global HR Operations, ensuring efficient and compliant onboarding, off‑boarding, contracts, parental leave and other lifecycle processes.
• Establish and monitor HR Operations SLAs, metrics, HRIS accuracy and process compliance.
• Lead process‑improvement and automation initiatives, including AI‑enabled solutions.
• Develop and maintain HR policies in collaboration with Legal, ensuring compliance with evolving legislation.
• Manage Employer of Record relationships and oversee cross‑border employment operations.
• Represent People Experience on the People Leadership Team and collaborate on compensation, performance, promotions and employee experience initiatives.

Required profile

• 8–12+ years of progressive HR experience with strong expertise in both HR Operations and HR Business Partnering.
• Proven experience leading and developing small, high‑performing HR teams.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex employee‑relations cases and work closely with legal and payroll stakeholders.
• Experience managing global, remote workforces across multiple countries.
