Insurance Finance Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an Insurance Finance Specialist to join our international finance team. You will play a key role in supporting quarterly and year‑end closing activities, ensuring accurate accounting under French GAAP and IFRS standards, and delivering reliable financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Support quarterly and year‑end closing under French GAAP and IFRS, including IFRS 17.
• Perform detailed analysis and reconciliation of insurance accounting balances, flagging risks and recommending corrective actions.
• Prepare audit trail documentation and maintain supporting evidence for internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with Finance, Actuarial, Reporting, and Control teams to ensure alignment of accounting procedures.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency across accounting activities.

Required profile

• Strong professional experience in accounting, financial reporting, audit, or insurance finance.
• Previous exposure to the insurance sector (Life and/or Non‑Life).
• Solid knowledge of IFRS 17; good understanding of French GAAP; IFRS 9 knowledge is a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills with analytical and reporting functions.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Audit, Actuarial Science or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese; French is a plus.
