Senior Professor of Hotel Management (Lecturer)

About the role

The Senior Professor of Hotel Management will deliver industry‑driven education to undergraduate, postgraduate and executive learners. Leveraging extensive executive hospitality experience, the role blends academic rigor with practical insights to prepare future hospitality leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Teach modules covering hotel operations, rooms division, front‑office management, hospitality strategy, service excellence and technology systems.
• Design and deliver experiential learning using business simulations, case studies, operational scenarios and industry projects.
• Mentor students, supervise capstone projects and dissertations, and provide constructive feedback.
• Continuously update curriculum to reflect AI, sustainability, revenue optimisation, digital guest experience and data analytics trends.
• Maintain strong industry links, organise guest speakers, company visits, internships and represent the institution at conferences.
• Participate in academic quality assurance, programme reviews and accreditation activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Tourism or Business Administration; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years progressive management experience in the hospitality industry, including senior operational or executive hotel roles.
• At least 5 years experience teaching adult learners or delivering professional training.
• Proven track record of curriculum design and programme development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with leading Property Management Systems such as Opera Cloud, Mews and Protel.
• Experience applying Artificial Intelligence solutions in hospitality contexts.
• Strong data‑analytics capabilities for performance and revenue optimisation.
• Knowledge of sustainability and ESG practices within hotel operations.
