Security Engineer – SOC (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Security Engineer to join our Nearshore Security Operations team. Working remotely, you will be part of the first line of defence for international clients across the Netherlands, Germany and other European countries.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse security alerts from EDR, NDR and SIEM platforms.
• Distinguish false positives from genuine threats and prioritise incidents.
• Enrich alerts with technical context to improve incident quality.
• Document findings clearly and consistently.
• Escalate relevant incidents to senior analysts and response teams.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to improve security posture.
• Support services such as endpoint detection, network detection, zero‑trust access, vulnerability management, compliance and security reporting.

Required profile

• Proficient with security tools like EDR, NDR and SIEM.
• Familiar with SOC concepts, alert handling and escalation flows.
• Comfortable working in an operational security environment.
• Solid understanding of networking, operating systems and infrastructure fundamentals.
• Ability to write basic scripts or automation in Python or Bash.
• Detail‑oriented with strong documentation skills.
• Motivated to learn and grow in a hands‑on cybersecurity setting.
• Fluent English communicator.
