Reporting Analyst

About the role

SBM Offshore is seeking a Reporting Analyst to support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis for its business units. You will work closely with the business management team, providing data‑driven insights that help drive performance and strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly Management Reporting within agreed timelines and quality standards.
• Analyze actual performance of projects, vessels, shore bases and departments, re‑forecasting yearly results.
• Deliver quarterly analysis of over/under recoveries, SG&A costs, operating costs and headcount variance.
• Collaborate with HR on employee benefits and headcount data.
• Load data into reporting tools, review submissions at project, department and consolidated levels.
• Prepare departmental and internal project budgets, challenging deviations from approved budgets.
• Contribute to the financial sections of quarterly Board reporting (MOR).
• Perform ad‑hoc analyses such as simulations, business cases, KPI tracking, expense analysis by currency and travel costs.
• Execute P&L intercompany reconciliation for consolidation purposes.
• Support the three‑year planning process and ensure compliance with internal control (ICOFR).
• Participate in company‑wide transformation initiatives on reporting systems and propose innovative solutions.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders during quarterly closing and budget cycles, and with external auditors at year‑end.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Professional finance qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience in an international audit firm or comparable financial analysis role.
