Mechanical Engineer – Design & Manufacturing for eBike

About the role

Join the eBike team at Bosch to develop innovative products and services that make e‑biking more fascinating, from highly efficient drives to the first production‑ready ABS for pedelecs. You will work on sustainable mobility solutions that combine fun with cutting‑edge technology.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and validate advanced assembly processes and innovative manufacturing technologies with internal and external partners.
• Support industrialization and mass‑production ramp‑up by evaluating process requirements, line readiness, and robustness on the shop floor.
• Analyze product requirements to ensure mechanical designs are optimized for manufacturing and assembly constraints.
• Lead and coordinate comprehensive Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) reviews to guarantee a smooth transition from prototype to mass production.
• Coordinate technical alignment between development departments and manufacturing partners worldwide.

Required profile

• University degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Automation or a related discipline.
• More than 5 years of proven professional experience in mechanical design, process development, automation or industrialization.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly processes such as plastic injection molding, welding, gluing, taping and automated assembly systems.
• Solid experience in 3D CAD modelling and creation of technical drawings with advanced Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) and willingness to travel internationally.
