Hardware Test Engineer – eBike

About the role

We make cyclists smile! In the eBike team we develop innovative products and services that make e‑biking more fascinating – from highly efficient drives and the first production‑ready ABS for pedelecs to smart connectivity solutions. You will help create sustainable, fun mobility by designing and validating advanced hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced hardware circuit architectures, ensuring feasibility, signal integrity and performance.
• Define, coordinate and execute comprehensive testing and validation plans, analysing data to support production ramp‑up.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional development teams, external component suppliers and production plants to optimise design for manufacturing and testing.
• Identify and resolve complex technical challenges and hardware bugs during prototyping and series production.
• Ensure strict compliance with global EMC and safety standards.
• Drive test‑automation initiatives and maintain industrialisation equipment.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in hardware design, schematic capture and PCB development, preferably in consumer electronics or IoT.
• Practical experience in hardware testing, debugging and failure analysis.
• Strong analytical, structured and detail‑oriented approach with a problem‑solving mindset.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Hardware design, schematic capture, PCB development.
• Analog and digital circuit design, PCB layout, component selection.
• EMC compliance knowledge (shielding, filtering).
• Production quality metrics (Yield, First Pass Yield, Cpk, Gauge R&R).
• Programming in C/C++, Python, LabVIEW, TestStand or Visual Basic for test automation.
