Freelance Research Physicist – Python & AI Training

About the role

We are looking for a freelance research physicist to design and implement computational physics problems that will be used to test and improve AI systems. The role is project‑based, remote and suited for candidates with strong Python coding skills and a solid background in physics.

Key responsibilities

• Design original computational physics problems that reflect real research workflows in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics and quantum mechanics.
• Create Python‑based problem statements using libraries such as NumPy, SciPy and SymPy, ensuring they are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually.
• Validate solutions by running simulations with standard physics libraries and provide verified answers.
• Document each problem clearly, including background, assumptions and expected results.

Required profile

• Degree in Physics (theoretical, experimental or computational) or a closely related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in research, applied physics or teaching.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1 level or higher).

Required skills

• Python programming.
• NumPy, SciPy, SymPy (or equivalent scientific computing libraries).
