Finance Department Lead

About the role

We are a tech consulting boutique in Lisbon seeking a Finance Department Lead to own and scale our financial operations. You will work closely with senior leadership, ensuring accurate accounting, compliance, and strategic financial insight for our regulated, high‑impact clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the finance and accounting department.
• Manage accounting, fiscal compliance, treasury, and cash‑flow activities.
• Oversee payroll processing and all HR‑related financial operations.
• Prepare financial reports, budgets, and provide decision‑support to the leadership team.
• Implement and continuously improve processes to boost efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Active registration as a TOC / Certified Accountant.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, tax regulations, and payroll management.
• Proven ability to lead teams, organise work, and deliver results with precision.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team spirit.
