Electrical Engineer – Power Systems & Data Centres

About the role

Crewit Resourcing is looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to join a leading engineering client in Ireland. The role involves delivering electrical designs for power generation, data centres and industrial facilities, from concept through to detailed execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop electrical engineering designs across concept, basic and detailed phases.
• Design and specify LV/MV power distribution systems and electrical infrastructure for industrial plants and data centres.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including schematics, layouts, specifications, load calculations and system studies.
• Perform electrical load studies, fault analysis and system sizing.
• Support testing, commissioning and performance validation of electrical systems.
• Conduct economic and technical evaluations, including cost and efficiency analysis.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling and procurement while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong experience in power systems design and analysis for industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Background working on power generation, data centre or industrial facilities.
• Proven ability to produce technical documentation and engineering calculations.
• Experience in multidisciplinary project environments.

Required skills

• AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent design tool.
• ETAP, DIgSILENT or similar analysis software.
• Primavera P6, Aconex and Power BI for project management and reporting.
• Python for automation and analysis (beneficial).
