Director Quality Operations

About the role

Our client, a leading global pharmaceutical company, is seeking a Director of Quality Operations to lead quality activities at its Lisbon site. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Quality Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing both Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) functions while driving continuous performance improvement across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the QA and QC teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to address site‑specific quality challenges.
• Monitor and report on quality metrics to senior leadership.
• Ensure the site adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices and other relevant pharmaceutical regulations.

Required profile

• Significant experience in quality operations within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven track record of managing QA and QC teams.
• Hands‑on site experience with a focus on performance improvement.
• Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
