Data Scientist (Remote, Portugal)

About the role

WE ARE META is looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join its remote team based in Portugal. You will work on diverse projects, turning raw talent into high‑impact solutions while enjoying a supportive environment that values growth and balance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Python, R and SQL.
• Implement search solutions with Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.
• Deploy and automate workflows using CI/CD tools.
• Design data models following Kimball, Inmon or Data Vault methodologies.
• Create dashboards and visual reports with Tableau, Power BI or Spotfire.
• Collaborate on cloud‑based platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist.
• Strong proficiency in Python, R and SQL.
• Hands‑on experience with search tools (Elasticsearch/OpenSearch).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and major cloud providers.
• Solid understanding of data modeling (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault).
• Fluent English (B2 level or higher).
• Based in Portugal or holding EU citizenship/valid work permit.
