Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen our clients' cloud and application security posture. You will work closely with development, DevOps and security teams to embed secure practices throughout the software lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities and misconfigurations in applications and infrastructure using tools such as Prisma Cloud, Snyk and Wiz.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps and security teams to implement secure practices and improve overall security posture.
• Monitor, triage and respond to security alerts and incidents.
• Conduct threat analysis, vulnerability assessments and propose remediation actions.
• Integrate security controls and automated checks into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps).
• Lead vulnerability management processes and optimise the use of security tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of IT security experience, preferably in software development environments.
• European Union citizenship, Portuguese work visa or residency.
• Willingness to work on‑site once or twice per week (hybrid model).

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with CSPM tools (Prisma Cloud, Wiz).
• Application security tooling (Snyk – SCA, SAST, DAST).
• Knowledge of secure SDLC, DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and IAM/container security.
• Experience in vulnerability management, threat modeling and web hardening.
