Composite Materials Process Engineer

About the role

Join a leading aerospace manufacturer as a Composite Materials Process Engineer in a brand‑new technical centre in Vila Nova de Gaia. You will be at the forefront of industrialising high‑performance engine components, linking cutting‑edge composite technology between Spain and Portugal.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement industrial processes for advanced composites (RTM, dry‑fiber, prepreg, manual lay‑up).
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation to ensure seamless production and inspection.
• Provide on‑site technical support, troubleshoot manufacturing issues and resolve bottlenecks.
• Coordinate non‑conformities and collaborate with international technical departments.
• Lead technology transfer activities between Spanish units and the Portuguese plant.
• Participate in bids, new product development and continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 6‑10 years of experience in design, development or industrialisation of composite processes.
• Experience in aerospace is preferred; automotive or wind‑energy backgrounds with strong RTM knowledge are also welcome.
• Advanced English proficiency; Spanish is a plus.
