Hardware/Software Test System Engineer

About the role

Join Bosch Car Multimedia in Braga as a Hardware/Software Test System Engineer. You will design, develop and maintain test systems that validate automotive electronic components for series production, ensuring high quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and support hardware and software test systems for automotive electronics, delivering robust and scalable solutions.
• Analyse test data, build dashboards (Power BI, Tableau or similar) and create queries and KPIs to drive data‑based decisions.
• Work closely with development teams to identify, analyse and resolve test‑related issues.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, support internal and external audits, and contribute to DLR activities.
• Participate in the industrialisation of new test systems, including configuration, validation and commissioning of equipment.
• Support the installation and commissioning of test systems on production lines locally and internationally.
• Validate test results against quality and performance requirements.
• Monitor test system performance using KPIs such as FPY, retest rate and test time, and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure knowledge transfer through clear documentation and cross‑functional communication.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or a comparable technical field.
• Proven experience in test engineering, debugging and validation within an industrial environment.
• Experience with production‑line test configuration and support (e.g., CCS) is a plus.
