Business Analyst – Financial Services

About the role

Next Engineering is looking for a Business Analyst to join its Lisbon team and help shape innovative financial solutions. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that market‑risk and data‑management projects are delivered on time and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business requirements from front‑office and international stakeholders.
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications for development teams.
• Coordinate development activities, track functional follow‑up and support functional and regression testing.
• Optimise end‑to‑end data processes and downstream integrations, especially in market‑risk and market‑data domains.
• Monitor project progress, risks and deliverables, providing regular status updates.
• Provide rotational L2/L3 functional support after deployment.

Required profile

• More than 6 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst within financial institutions.
• Strong knowledge of market risk, market data and risk‑management concepts.
• Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
• Fluent English (minimum B2 level); French is a plus.
