About the role

We are looking for experienced waiters to join the luxury cruise line Explora Journeys. The role involves delivering refined, personalized service to international guests onboard a high‑end vessel.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an assigned service station in a restaurant or buffet venue.
• Welcome guests, present menus, take food and beverage orders and recommend wines.
• Explain dishes and ensure attentive, personalized service.
• Maintain mise en place, cleanliness and organization of the station.
• Follow all service, hygiene, public‑health and food‑safety procedures.
• Support and supervise the assigned Assistant Waiter.
• Assist with room service or other food & beverage operations as needed.
• Report guest concerns promptly to the supervisor.

Required profile

• EU citizenship.
• At least 2 years of full‑time waiter experience in a 5‑star hotel or fine‑dining restaurant, OR one completed cruise‑ship waiter contract in the luxury segment.
• Senior high school education or equivalent.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Practical knowledge of high‑volume, all‑day dining or multi‑cuisine operations.
• Familiarity with refined, luxury‑service environments.
• Valid Food Safety/HACCP certificate and passport.
• Willingness to work onboard and join a multicultural team.
