Vendor Management Specialist (VMS) - BPO Operations

About the role

Hitachi Digital Services is hiring a Vendor Management Specialist (VMS) for its BPO Operations function in Lisbon. Reporting to the Service Manager based in Portugal, the VMS handles day-to-day vendor management activities, operational performance and continuous improvement across vendor and procurement operations. The role is full-time, Monday to Friday including Portuguese holidays except Christmas and New Year, from 1pm to 10pm.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day vendor management activities across operational teams, ensuring agreed SLAs and KPIs are met.
• Monitor, identify and report operational risks to the Service Manager.
• Monitor continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization activities.
• Ensure quality, consistency and compliance with approved procedures and governance standards.
• Provide transparent reporting, insights and recommendations to the Service Manager.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive service excellence and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• 3 years of experience in Vendor Management, Procurement, Operations Support, Managed Services or related functions.
• Demonstrated experience working with service providers and third-party vendors.
• Familiarity with Contract Management and Supplier Governance processes.
• Experience managing a team within a BPO environment.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance or a related field (preferred).
