VAT Compliance Consultant (French Speaker)

About the role

Ryan is looking for a VAT Compliance Consultant fluent in French to advise clients across different sectors and countries on VAT matters. The consultant prepares and submits VAT declarations, anticipates VAT legislative changes and keeps clients informed, while managing client relationships and liaising with tax authorities in several countries. The position is listed as hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse clients' businesses and transaction flows so that VAT declarations and related documents are submitted on time.
• Analyse VAT data submitted by clients and prepare and validate VAT declarations in line with the legislation of each country.
• Act as a point of contact for clients and prepare reports and advisory emails.
• Act as a point of contact for tax authorities in the countries where clients have strategic transactions.
• Handle information requests and audits carried out by tax authorities on behalf of clients.
• Assist Senior Consultants and Managers on complex client issues.
• Follow up VAT registration and deregistration processes.
• Help clients build strategies for dealing with VAT and prepare for their future in the financial market.
• Proactively research and update the VAT knowledge database.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Law, Management or Economics.
• Fluent English and French, spoken and written; other languages are valued.
• Previous experience in a multinational company or environment is preferred but not required.
• No specific certificate or license is required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Internet navigation and research.
