UK Corporate Tax Associate

About the role

Farfetch is seeking a UK Corporate Tax Associate to join its Global Tax Team. Based in our vibrant Porto office, you will manage the day‑to‑day UK corporation tax compliance cycle and support the group’s tax governance framework.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review UK corporation tax computations and CT600 returns, managing the compliance calendar and deadlines.
• Support the tax accounting cycle, including current and deferred tax provisions and disclosures under IFRS and/or US GAAP.
• Identify tax risks and opportunities such as capital allowances, R&D credits, loss utilisation, group relief and corporate interest restriction, and translate technical positions into clear guidance.
• Assist with tax governance and risk procedures (SAO, CCO), maintain the HMRC relationship, and contribute to the published tax strategy.
• Provide day‑to‑day advisory on UK withholding taxes, interest deductibility, transfer pricing inputs and cross‑border transactions.
• Manage HMRC enquiries, prepare robust documentation and liaise with advisers and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in UK corporate tax, either in practice or in‑house.
• Strong working knowledge of UK corporation tax legislation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
