UI Designer – Digital Product & Design Systems

About the role

Aubay Portugal is seeking a senior UI Designer to shape digital product experiences across its technology consultancy portfolio. You will work closely with engineering teams to create brand‑driven interfaces, design systems, and innovative AI‑enhanced workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain high‑quality UI components and scalable design systems for multiple client projects.
• Leverage generative AI, large language models and automation tools to accelerate design production and product innovation.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers to ensure seamless hand‑off, create simple automations, API integrations, or lightweight scripts when needed.
• Identify inefficiencies in existing design processes and implement improvements that boost consistency and team efficiency.
• Lead workshops, demos and knowledge‑sharing sessions to disseminate best practices across the organization.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional UI design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing digital products, design systems and brand‑centric interfaces.
• Hands‑on experience with AI‑driven design tools and a proven track record of integrating them into daily workflows.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to translate technical concepts into clear design solutions.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Figma and modern design workflows.
• Deep understanding of atomic design principles and design system governance.
• Experience with generative AI, large language models (LLMs) and automation tools.
• Solid grasp of front‑end development concepts, API integrations and lightweight scripting.
