Team Leader – Financial Data Integrity (Equity & Commodities)

About the role

As a Team Leader in the Financial Data Integrity department of Natixis Portugal, you will oversee the certification of financial statements for Equity Market and Commodities activities within the Corporate & Investment Banking division. Based in Porto, you will lead a team of analysts to ensure accurate accounting results during monthly and quarterly closings for a major French banking institution.

Key responsibilities

• Produce, analyse and validate balance‑sheet and off‑balance‑sheet items for Equity and Commodity products.
• Reconcile Economic P&L with Accounting P&L on a monthly and quarterly basis.
• Identify, investigate and correct discrepancies in accounting data, including securities, listed derivatives, money market, options, futures, oil, gas, carbon and energy instruments.
• Collaborate with middle‑ and back‑office trade support, Finance control teams, statutory accounting and Market Risk to ensure data quality.
• Contribute to quarterly closing controls and continuous improvement of data integrity processes.

Required profile

• Strong background in finance accounting, preferably within a banking or investment environment.
• Experience with financial statement certification and closing processes.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and communicate complex accounting issues clearly.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SOPHIS, SUMMIT (TCI, OTC, Bonds & Securities), MUREX and SENTRY systems.
• Solid understanding of equity market and commodity product accounting.
