Finance Director

About the role

Reporting to the CEO, the Finance Director will provide strategic financial leadership for Luso Global Mining and its portfolio of mining projects, overseeing governance, reporting, planning and treasury across the asset lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the finance function across all project entities, establishing robust governance, controls and compliance aligned with Group requirements.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and performance analysis to support strategic decisions.
• Oversee cash management, treasury, funding requirements and financial risk management.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial and management reporting, including consolidated and statutory reports.
• Support project development, investment cases, financing, capital allocation and M&A activities.
• Manage financial performance of investments, SPVs and JV structures.
• Lead ERP and finance system implementation and continuous improvement.
• Act as key financial advisor to the CEO, senior management and Board.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA) required.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership in mining, natural resources or other project‑based industries.
• Proven experience managing multi‑country operations, project entities and consolidated reporting.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and corporate governance.
• Fluent English mandatory; Portuguese and French advantageous.
• MBA or Master’s in Finance or Business considered a plus.
