Tax Compliance Manager (Lisbon/Porto)

About the role

EY is seeking a motivated and business‑oriented Manager to join its Business Tax Compliance (BTC) team in Portugal. You will work with a diverse portfolio of domestic and multinational clients, helping them align tax compliance with their strategic objectives while delivering high‑quality, technology‑enabled solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple technical and advisory tax compliance projects for a wide range of clients.
• Identify and develop new strategic business opportunities.
• Coordinate timelines and expectations with customers to ensure timely delivery.
• Deliver quality solutions using tax compliance expertise, process optimisation and technology.
• Advise local and multinational companies on aligning tax compliance with business strategy.
• Oversee the submission of corporate tax obligations (IRC, IVA, IRS, IMI) and other reporting requirements (COPE, CBCR).
• Stay up‑to‑date with tax, legal and business trends relevant to clients.
• Foster team productivity and motivation through effective communication and collaboration.

Required profile

• Academic degree in Tax, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in tax compliance.
• Background in a consulting environment, preferably Big 4 or second‑tier firms.
• Experience managing teams and contributing to commercial development.
• Ability to work on multicultural projects and environments.
• Full professional proficiency in English.
