Support Engineer - Blue Prism Infrastructure

About the role
BP3 is looking for a hands‑on Support Engineer with deep experience in Blue Prism to join its support and managed services team. You will be responsible for maintaining and evolving on‑premise Blue Prism platforms for enterprise clients, working closely with architects, database teams and client stakeholders to ensure stable operations and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day operational support for on‑premise Blue Prism environments, including Application Server, HUB, robot runtime and configuration.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to authentication, user management, scheduling, queue management and connectivity.
- Analyse problems to determine whether they stem from platform configuration, infrastructure, or solution design and implement corrective actions.
- Plan, coordinate and execute Blue Prism platform upgrades and version transitions, including HUB upgrades.
- Coordinate SQL Server upgrades and reporting database setup with database teams.
- Design and implement failover server configurations and perform routine health checks and documentation.
- Maintain and extend Dynatrace monitoring, identify gaps and create new monitors to drive operational improvements.
- Act as a trusted technical contact for clients, communicating issues, root causes and remediation steps.
- Collaborate with BP3 architects, senior engineers and Blue Prism support on complex or systemic issues.
Required profile
- Hands‑on experience supporting Blue Prism in production environments.
- Solid understanding of Blue Prism architecture, including Application Server, HUB, runtime resources and database dependencies.
- Experience with SQL Server administration and upgrades (e.g., MSSQL 2016).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace.
- Strong technical judgment and ability to troubleshoot across application, database and operating system layers.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships with customers.
