Staff Software Engineer – Product Engineering (EU)

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious full‑stack engineer to own and shape the next generation of Ashby’s product suite. You will work in a fast‑moving, low‑meeting environment where you write product specs, make design decisions, and ship features that serve tens of thousands of daily users across leading customers such as Notion, Linear, Shopify and Snowflake.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own large product areas from concept to production.
• Write clear specifications and translate them into high‑quality code.
• Collaborate directly with customers to understand pain points and iterate quickly.
• Make product and design decisions without relying on extensive planning meetings.
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance for a rapidly growing user base.

• Comfortable with high ownership and autonomous decision‑making.
• Passion for building innovative software in a seed‑to‑growth startup environment.
• Ability to thrive without daily stand‑ups, sprint planning or rigid Agile ceremonies.
