Specialist GBS VAT Systems

About the role

The Specialist GBS VAT Systems will ensure the correct implementation and maintenance of adidas Group VAT settings across SAP and other indirect tax systems worldwide. You will provide tax classification advice, manage tax codes, and support finance teams in delivering accurate VAT compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on tax classifications for customers, vendors and materials.
• Create and maintain tax codes and VAT rate changes in SAP.
• Maintain tax determination conditions in SAP systems.
• Suggest and implement process improvements for system efficiency.
• Support indirect tax settings implementation, including new warehouses and S/4HANA setups.
• Respond to finance and GBS center requests.
• Perform financial controls over tax‑related work.

Required profile

• Knowledge of VAT regulations and tax concepts.
• Experience with SAP, preferably maintaining VAT tables.
• Proficiency in MS‑Office, especially advanced Excel.
• Ability to communicate in English in a business environment.
• Strong attention to detail and customer orientation.
• Problem‑solving, analytical and critical‑thinking mindset.
• Self‑motivated, able to work autonomously under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel for periods of 1‑3 weeks.
