About the role
Nokia's Mobile Infrastructure group is seeking a motivated Software Engineer Trainee to join its Assurance Center team. You will be involved in specifying, designing, implementing and testing software while supporting program planning and agile activities.
Key responsibilities
- Specify, design, implement and test software components for cloud‑native, multi‑vendor assurance solutions.
- Support agile ceremonies, program planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyse, develop, test and release product improvements, bug fixes and service packages.
- Resolve customer trouble tickets and diagnose complex hardware/software issues.
- Plan technical requirements based on customer needs and produce controlled software releases.
Required profile
- Apply engineering practices such as test‑driven development, pair‑programming and refactoring.
- Advocate software craftsmanship with an agile, lean and quality‑first mindset.
- Commit to continuous improvement and continuous delivery principles.
Required skills
- Programming languages: Java 17+, C++, Python, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, TypeScript, React.
- Containerisation and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
- API design and usage: REST, JSON, Swagger.
- Database knowledge: SQL/HQL, Oracle, MariaDB or other RDBMS.
- Messaging and monitoring: Kafka, Apache NiFi, Grafana, Zabbix.
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Git, Gerrit, GitLab.
- Test automation: JUnit, Jest, Selenium, Robot Framework, Cucumber.
- Dependency management: Webpack, Maven, Gradle, npm.
