Software Engineer - Python/Django

About the role

MineHub is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain robust backend solutions for its supply‑chain platform. The role focuses on modernising legacy Python/Django services, scaling the system for enterprise‑grade workflows and contributing to a gradual transition towards TypeScript‑based components.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain secure, scalable software using Python/Django and future TypeScript codebases.
• Reduce technical debt through code refactoring, performance tuning and quality enhancements.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on architecture decisions and ensure alignment with MineHub’s technical strategy.
• Write clean, well‑documented code and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers via pair programming, feedback and career guidance.
• Participate in technical interviews to help grow the engineering team.
• Work closely with Product, Customer Success and Sales to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
• Communicate project status, constraints and opportunities to non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience with Python and Django, delivering scalable backend systems.
• Legal eligibility to work in Portugal and ability to overlap with North‑America time zones daily.
• Based in or near Porto (Portugal) to attend occasional in‑person meet‑ups.
• Proactive problem‑solving mindset and willingness to learn TypeScript.
