About the role
We are looking for a Software Engineer to join Hiscox Re’s Engineering Team. You will work in an autonomous squad building “Cloud First” solutions that add value to our reinsurance business while modernising existing on‑prem and cloud systems.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders and squad members to deliver business value.
- Design and implement technical solutions, producing clear designs that meet requirements.
- Develop and evolve the platform architecture across squads.
- Write secure, high‑quality code that is peer‑reviewed, unit‑tested and delivered through automated pipelines.
- Support continuous delivery and integration practices.
- Help the team adopt AI‑enabled tooling to accelerate delivery.

- Enthusiastic, open and curious mindset with a willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working in an agile, squad‑based environment.
- Committed to delivering secure and reliable software.
