Software Engineer Frontend

About the role

Intermedia is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer to design and develop intuitive, scalable user experiences for its product suite. The role focuses on creating thoughtful interfaces that enable users to configure, test, deploy, and manage solutions, working closely with product managers, UX designers, backend engineers, and AI/ML specialists. The position is primarily remote with occasional visits to the office in Coimbra or Aveiro.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain modern frontend applications that power dashboards, visualisations, and user workflows.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to integrate model outputs into customer‑facing features.
• Work closely with UX designers and product managers to translate requirements into polished interfaces.
• Participate in code and design reviews, providing constructive feedback.
• Implement appropriate testing, logging, monitoring, and observability for production quality.
• Assist DevOps and platform teams to ensure reliable deployment and operation of frontend services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience developing modern frontend applications.

Required skills

• Proficiency in JavaScript.
• Proficiency in TypeScript.
