Software Engineer Frontend – AI

About the role

Intermedia is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer focused on AI to design and build intuitive, scalable user experiences. You will enable users to create, configure, test, deploy, and manage AI agents through thoughtful interfaces and workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain backend services and APIs that power analytics, dashboards and AI‑generated insights.
• Build data processing pipelines that aggregate and enrich structured and unstructured data for exploration and visualization.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to integrate models and AI outputs into customer‑facing products.
• Work with frontend engineers, UX designers and product managers to translate requirements into reliable service interfaces.
• Partner with data engineers to ensure reliable data flows across systems.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code and design reviews.
• Implement testing, logging, monitoring and observability for production services.
• Support deployment and operation together with DevOps and platform teams.

Required profile

• Experience building frontend applications that interact with complex backend services.
• Ability to work remotely while attending occasional on‑site meetings in Coimbra or Aveiro.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
