Software Engineer - Backend - AI Clips Team

About the role

Restream is seeking a Backend Engineer to join the AI Clips team. You will help design, build, and scale new services while ensuring the reliability of existing systems. The role emphasizes simplicity, resilience, and rapid delivery in a fast‑growing startup environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features for Restream web services.
• Design and implement backend APIs and business logic for new and existing functionalities.
• Participate in code reviews, giving and receiving constructive feedback.
• Stay informed about emerging technologies and identify hidden opportunities.
• Ensure redundancy and resilience of production infrastructure.

Required profile

• Scrappy, entrepreneurial attitude with a focus on high‑quality, fast delivery.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑directed, analytical, and comfortable working in a collaborative team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one general‑purpose programming language (Node.js/TypeScript preferred, Rust a plus).
• Database design experience with relational databases and NoSQL solutions such as Scylla and Redis.
• Experience creating, testing, consuming, and supporting APIs for web services.
• Hands‑on knowledge of AWS, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and continuous deployment workflows.
• Basic front‑end skills; familiarity with modern front‑end frameworks is a plus.
