Software Engineer – API & Web Security

About the role

Snyk is looking for a Software Engineer to join its API and Web team. You will help shape the next generation of security tools in the AI era, building features that protect a global network of high‑profile customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain high‑quality, well‑tested code for DAST, SAST integration and unified application risk views.
• Build scalable systems with strong design, robust testing and cost‑effective architecture.
• Resolve bugs and support escalations to ensure a reliable customer experience.
• Communicate clearly across technical and non‑technical teams, owning decisions throughout the development process.
• Collaborate actively with peers in a high‑performing engineering team.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Solid understanding of algorithms, complexity and data structures.
• Strong commitment to code quality and constructive code‑review feedback.
• Ability to work with ambiguity and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Interest in security or willingness to learn the domain.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Go, TypeScript or Python.
• Experience with effective software testing practices.
