Shopify Full Stack Developer

About the role

Darkroom is seeking a skilled Shopify Full Stack Developer to join its remote team supporting clients in the EST time zone. You will create and maintain high‑performance Shopify stores, translating design concepts into responsive, conversion‑focused experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop custom Shopify themes and functionalities from scratch with responsive design and cross‑browser compatibility.
• Implement and integrate third‑party Shopify apps and custom API solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable code following best practices.
• Collaborate with design and marketing teams to turn UI/UX mockups into live sites.
• Maintain, debug, and optimize existing Shopify stores.
• Handle backend tasks such as product catalog updates, payment gateway setups, and data integrations.
• Optimize sites for speed, scalability, SEO, and conversion rates.
• Conduct thorough QA and testing before deployment.
• Stay current with Shopify trends and proactively suggest improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience building Shopify websites.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
