Shipping Specialist

About the role

The Shipping Specialist coordinates and manages all shipments from the manufacturing facility to sterilization service providers and other business partners across Europe and international markets. The role ensures safe, compliant, and on‑time delivery while maintaining effective communication with freight forwarders, carriers, customs authorities, and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and review shipping information and documentation from suppliers and freight forwarders.
• Schedule container arrivals with the warehouse coordinator and coordinate loads with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Monitor daily production output and availability of finished goods to optimise transport planning and shipment consolidation.
• Maintain shipment visibility, update ERP/TMS systems with milestones, ETAs and transport status, and keep transport records.
• Coordinate shipments to external sterilisation service providers, monitor turnaround times and update delivery commitments.
• Handle customs communications, work with customs brokers to ensure timely clearance, and generate related reports.
• Process invoices related to freight forwarders and customs brokers, support finance in discrepancy resolution and control rates.

Required profile

• High School Diploma with relevant training in Logistics and Supply Chain.
• 3‑5 years of experience in import/export operations.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle or SAP is a plus).
• Strong command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
