Material Planner

About the role

The Supply Chain Material Planner ensures material availability to support production schedules while maintaining optimal inventory levels and following the global material replenishment process. This role coordinates with production planners, the site master planner, procurement, production, warehouse and suppliers to plan, schedule, and monitor material flow.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain material requirement plans (MRP) based on production schedules and forecasts.
• Generate and manage purchase orders to ensure timely material availability.
• Monitor and adjust plans to reflect changes in demand, lead times, or production priorities.
• Optimize inventory levels, track slow‑moving or obsolete items, and reconcile discrepancies with warehouse and production.
• Collaborate with suppliers to confirm availability, delivery dates, and resolve potential disruptions.
• Maintain accurate material data in ERP systems and generate reports and KPIs related to planning performance.

Required profile

• Industrial Engineer or similar qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the medical devices sector is a plus.
• Proficient English language skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 3‑week periods (max 9 weeks per year in the first year, then up to 10% annually).

Required skills

• Good understanding of Oracle databases.
• Advanced use of Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems.
